The grid tie system is the personal home power generator.  In addition to solar panels, you can
also add a wind generator to broaden you energy producing capabilities.   See Home page for
your State & Gov. Rebates.
We only use solar panels that have
been manufactured with solar cells that
have been cut from solid ingots of
silicon !

When shopping for solar panels, always
insist on solar panels that use solar
cells that have been cut from a solid
silicon ingot.
Many of the solar panels that are on the
market that use silicon that is not cut
from solid silicon ingots may offer
lower efficiencies, poorer tolerances or
lesser warranties !

We hear all the time from customers about dealers who send high pressure sales people to
convince them that they need to cover their entire roof with an overpriced, commercial sized solar
system whose investment will take decades to recoup in order to have any kind of impact on their
electric bill.

In reality nothing could be further from truth. What most of these dealers won't tell you is that the
rate that the utility company charges you can drop significantly if you simply install a smaller
system that pulls your usage down from a higher more expensive tier level to a lower less
expensive tier.

Nearly all utility companies in the U.S. issues their customers what is known as a baseline or tier
one limit for their electrical consumption.

If you stay within the boundaries of your baseline or tier one level, you are charged a lower fixed
rate. As soon as you exceed your tier one limit and move into tier two, you are charged a higher
rate per kilowatt for that excess. Exceed the tier two limit and then you're charge higher tier three
rates and so on and so on.

So by simply installing a smaller less expensive solar system that can keep you from reaching
those higher tiers, you can have a significant impact on your electric bill.
